No matter what your photographic niche may be, I believe you should open your horizons and try as many photographic niches as possible. There are so many benefits to opening yourself up to trying new things. If you’re in an artistic rut, trying a different niche may be the sauce that gets those creative juices flowing again.Â
As a photograph different niches I plan to share those with you in future blogs. This is the first blog where I'm broadening my photographic horizons.Â
There are times I find myself doing the same thing over and over. To help me break out of the cycle I work on a new niche, or something I don’t shoot often. Doing this helps me see things in a new light (pun may or may not be intended.)
To look at things differently and further my technical skills, I set aside a couple days to try my hand at macro flower photography. Just taking macro images wasn’t enough, so I decided macro images using focus stacking for some new direction.
Here are some examples of what I was able to create by breaking out of the everyday humdrum. I hope you find these images creative and inspiring.
Photographically yours,
Larry
